Heera Asario (Halown) Habbat 100g - Asario is also known as garden cress seeds (lepidium sativum). It belongs to the family Cruciferae. In India, it is known as ALIV or HALIM seeds. It is not very commonly used and hence very little is known about them. Asario seeds are small red, brown seeds with a sharp, tangy, and peppery flavor. Garden cress is added to soups, sandwiches, and salads for its tangy flavor. It is also eaten as sprouts, and the fresh or dried seed pods can be used as a peppery seasoning (haloon). In the United Kingdom, cut cress shoots are commonly used in sandwiches with boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and salt.
